ChaChing is a vibrant, fast-paced Asian fusion restaurant located in Melbourne CBD. Known for our bold flavours, energetic atmosphere, creative cocktails and exceptional guest experience, we're looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager who is passionate about hospitality and ready to grow with our expanding restaurant group.
This is more than just a management role. We're looking for someone who leads by example, thrives under pressure, develops great teams and takes pride in running a busy, successful restaurant.
About the Role
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Director to ensure smooth daily operations while delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the floor during service with confidence and energy
Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving guest concerns professionally
Supervising, coaching and motivating the FOH team
Assisting with staff recruitment, onboarding and training
Maintaining high service standards and ensuring SOPs are followed
Managing bookings and table allocations to maximise revenue
Monitoring labour costs and productivity
Assisting with stock control, ordering and inventory
Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and workplace compliance
Working closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth communication during service




Helping drive sales through upselling and team motivation
Supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving business KPIs
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or supervisor role within a busy restaurant
Strong leadership and communication skills
Positive attitude with a hands-on approach
Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences
Strong understanding of restaurant operations and financial performance
Current RSA certificate
Full Australian working rights
Bonus If You Have
Experience with SevenRooms or OpenTable
Wine, cocktail or spirits knowledge
Experience in premium casual or modern Asian restaurants
First Aid Certificate
