We are seeking an experienced
Interior Designer/Sales Consultant
to join our dynamic team within a busy Commercial/domestic Joinery company. This is a full-time position based in Braeside.
In this role, you will combine your creative design expertise with consultative sales skills to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive business growth. As a leader in High end Joinery we require someone who can be instrumental in transforming client visions into beautifully designed spaces whilst building lasting relationships and achieving sales targets.
This role may suit a designer who has experience working with builders/joiners/shopfitters.
This position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your design talent whilst developing your commercial acumen in a fast-paced setting.
Key responsibilities
Consult with clients to understand their design requirements, lifestyle needs, and budget constraints
Create innovative and functional interior design concepts and visual presentations that align with client objectives
Prepare detailed design proposals, mood boards, and 3D visualisations to present to clients
Manage the design process from initial concept through to project completion, ensuring quality and timeliness
Develop and nurture client relationships to maximise customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business
Identify sales opportunities and work towards achieving individual and team sales targets
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution
Stay current with interior design trends, materials, and products to provide clients with up-to-date recommendations
Provide expert advice on colour schemes, furniture selection, lighting, and spatial planning
Handle client inquiries professionally and respond promptly to maintain strong customer relationships
What we're looking for
Diploma or degree in Interior Design or equivalent professional qualification
Proven experience working as an Interior Designer, preferably with a track record of successful project completions
Strong portfolio demonstrating your design style, creativity, and range of projects
Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
Understanding of building codes, spatial planning, and ergonomic design principles
Sales experience and demonstrable ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Strong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of interior design materials, finishes, and current market offerings
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a collaborative team environment
A genuine passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces that enhance clients' lives
