Join a local inner northern suburbs coffee roastery, that has stood the test of time and is looking to grow its team with a new Coffee Roaster & Production Assistant. Working on the latest Petroncini equipment and within a supportive small team environment, this is the role for you if you love Coffee and want to produce high quality coffee that delights customers locally and internationally.
You will be reporting to a very knowledgeable management team with a strong commitment to innovation, safety and sustainability. You will be responsible for working line equipment, operating coffee roasting equipment, plant maintenance, cleaning, assisting with warehousing tasks and assisting with picking and packing, dispatching orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor production machinery
Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
Adjust machine settings based on production requirements and specifications
Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and machine performance
Monitor inventory levels of all products
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any machine malfunctions or production issues
Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe work environment
Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas in compliance with health regulations
Quality control reporting of final product to Operations Manager
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a coffee roastery or food and beverage manufacturing plant
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Forklift license would be advantageous
Ability to work in a rapid-paced setting and manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of safety and quality standards in food production
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical Requirements:
Must be fit and health, with ability to lift up to 15kg and perform physically demanding tasks
Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks

Salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience.
