CJD Equipment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Field Service Technician
to join our team as a
resident technician based in the Tamworth region
.
In this dynamic and hands-on role, you'll be responsible for performing
preventative and corrective maintenance
on a wide range of
Volvo Construction Equipment
.
To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate advanced diagnostic, technical and communication skills as you will be responsible for booking work in, dealing directly with customers and performing the required work on sites and in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Volvo construction machines
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults
Work autonomously in the field to complete scheduled and unscheduled servicing and repairs
Utilise computer-based diagnostic tools and parts catalogues
Coordinate bookings and communicate directly with customers
Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and company standards
About You:
Relevant
trade qualification (Diesel / Heavy Plant Mechanic) & MR Licence
Experience with
earthmoving and construction equipment
(Volvo Construction Equipment experience highly regarded)




Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
Solid troubleshooting, fault-finding, and diagnostic skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and service software tools
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to customer sites when required
Well-organised with strong time management and planning skills
A team player who can also take the lead when needed
