Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is seeking a highly skilled and experiencedManager, Payroll Services
on a full-time ongoing basis.
FTE Salary
$140,750
per annum + 12% Superannuation
Salary packaging of up to $11,650 per annum
5 weeks

About the role
Provide strategic leadership of the payroll service, including coaching and mentoring direct reports, fostering a high performing culture.
Lead the governance framework for the Gippsland Regional Payroll Service.
Ensure robust payroll governance, legislative compliance and effective internal controls are maintained.
Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures and governance documentation.
Oversee the governance, intregrity and optimisation of payroll systems, including SAP, KRONOS, and SuccessFactors.
Lead payroll audits, reconciliations, and end-of-financial-year processes, delivering accurate reporting to stakeholders.
Drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and regional collaboration through forums, technical upgrades, and best practice sharing.
Provide guidance, training, and support to staff and managers on payroll-related matters, ensuring compliance and service excellence.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
Qualifications in Business,
Human Resources, Finance, Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Extensive senior-level payroll management experience, particularly in multi-site or regional operations.
Demonstrated strategic leadership capability, with the ability to lead, coach and develop high performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
High developed stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
Strong expertise in payroll compliance, including interpretation and application of Awards, Agreements, and industrial relations legislation.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

LRH cares for a population of about 300,000 and is the regional provider of specialist services. Our catchment covers 42,000 square kilometres, from Phillip Island to Mallacoota in the far east of Victoria. LRH offers cardiac care, surgery, medical, renal, emergency care, aged care, women's and children's services, pharmacy, allied health and rehabilitation. Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre.
