Human Resources Business Partner at Karbon. About the role Karbon is seeking a commercially focused People Business Partner to support our Engineering and Product leadership teams. You will report to the VP of People and act as a strategic advisor, using data and AI-driven insights to influence organizational health and performance.

What you'll do
Partner directly with the Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer to align people strategies with business objectives.
Use AI tools and agentic workflows to automate tasks, analyze data, and generate actionable insights for leadership.
Manage complex employment relations cases while coaching managers to handle issues independently.
Ensure compliance with Australian employment law, modern awards, and WHS standards.
Provide constructive challenge to senior leadership regarding business and people risks.
Collaborate with Talent and People Ops teams to support the employee lifecycle across our global regions.




Lead specific HR initiatives and change management projects.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR Advisor or People Business Partner.
Background in SaaS or high-growth technology environments.
Practical knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work, and WHS regulations.
Demonstrated ability to build credibility with senior executives.
Hands‐on experience using AI tools to improve HR workflows and data analysis.
Robust project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives independently.
Experience in workforce planning and organizational design.
