We specialise in servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel motor vehicles, delivering reliable mechanical solutions to commercial transport operators.
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing faults, servicing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy diesel engines and vehicle systems.
Repair or replace defective engine, transmission, braking, hydraulic, and electrical components.
Overhaul diesel engines, including dismantling, inspection, repair, and reassembly.
Conduct testing,



calibration, and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Prepare service reports and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
Perform welding and fabrication work where required.
Provide breakdown and emergency repair support when necessary.
Skills and Experience
Hold a relevant trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Have a minimum of one year of full-time relevant post-qualification work experience.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair procedures.
Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Full-time position for a minimum period of 3 years
Salary between $79,000 – $82,000 per annum (plus superannuation), depending on skills and experience
