Destination Brisbane Consortium (DBC) is the owner of Queen's Wharf Brisbane (QWB), a landmark integrated resort comprising casino gaming, hotels, food and beverage, retail, entertainment, and public precinct assets.
Following the commencement of operations in ****, DBC transitioned from a development-focused organisation to an asset owner, with responsibility for overseeing integrated resort performance delivered by the external operator, protecting investor and stakeholder value, meeting regulatory, lender and joint venture obligations, and driving the long-term commercial sustainability of the precinct.
About the Role
The Precinct Retail Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining productive relationships with all retail, food and beverage, entertainment and service tenants operating within the integrated resort precinct.
The role is focused on ensuring tenant success through proactive engagement, operational support, collaboration and commercial coordination while enhancing the overall guest experience and maximising precinct performance.
The ideal candidate is more than an operational tenant manager—they are a commercially minded relationship builder who can foster trusted partnerships with existing operators while developing the market awareness, networking capability, and negotiation skills needed to attract and secure future tenants.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Act as the primary relationship manager for all retail and F&B; tenants.
Conduct regular business reviews with tenants.
Develop trusted relationships with owners, operators and senior management.




Coordinate responses to tenant operational issues.
Promote collaboration between tenants and resort departments.
Facilitate effective communication across the precinct.
Coordinate the onboarding of incoming tenants.
Liaise with project delivery, design and fit-out teams.
Assist tenants through approval and compliance processes.
Coordinate operational readiness activities.
Ensure a positive commencement experience for all new businesses.
Precinct Performance
Monitor tenant trading performance and occupancy trends.
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience.
Work collaboratively on precinct activation initiatives.
Assist in developing promotional campaigns.
Encourage participation in resort-wide events.
Commercial Coordination
Support the commercial team through:
Preparing tenant reports.
Maintaining lease-related information.
Monitoring critical lease dates.
Coordinating tenant communications.
Assisting with budgeting processes.
Supporting lease administration activities.
Supporting prospect Identification & Business Development
Supporting the leasing team to:
Research emerging retail and hospitality brands.
Identify gaps within the precinct mix.




Build a pipeline of prospective tenants.
Attend industry networking events.
Develop relationships with leasing agents and retail consultants.
Introduce prospective tenants to the precinct.
Present precinct opportunities.
About You:
5+ years' experience in one or more of:
Hospitality management
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to influence without direct authority.
High levels of professionalism and integrity.
