Nanny & Household Manager
who enjoys creating beautifully run homes, preparing healthy meals, and helping a busy family thrive.
You'll be supporting a single father with full-time care of his energetic 8-year-old son while taking ownership of the day-to-day management of the household. In addition, you'll occasionally assist with the organisation and upkeep of our family beach house in Flinders.

About the Role
This is a varied, rewarding and hands-on role where no two days are exactly the same.
You'll enjoy balancing childcare, household management and cooking while taking pride in keeping our home running effortlessly.
Childcare
School drop-offs and pick-ups.
Assisting with homework and after-school routines.
Encouraging healthy habits, confidence and independence.
Engaging in active play, basketball and outdoor activities.
Creating a warm, safe and nurturing setting.
Assisting with school holiday activities where required.
Occasional evening and weekend care.
Household Management
You'll take ownership of ensuring the household runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining a beautifully organised and well-presented home.
General light housekeeping and daily household upkeep.
Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation for the household, including caring for the laundry and general household needs of our adult son (20),



who lives at home independently.
Grocery shopping and pantry management.
Monitoring household supplies and proactively restocking essentials.
Running errands as required.
Receiving deliveries and coordinating appointments.
Liaising with cleaners, tradespeople and service providers when required.
Identifying what needs to be done and taking initiative without being asked.
Helping create a calm, organised and welcoming home environment.
Cooking & Meal Preparation
Cooking is an important part of this role.
You'll confidently:
Plan and prepare fresh, healthy meals for the family.
Grocery shop and manage the pantry.
Keep the kitchen organised and well stocked.
Prepare meals ahead when required.
Encourage healthy eating habits.
Holiday Home Support
We also have a family beach house in Flinders, and from time to time you'll assist with ensuring the property is organised and ready for family visits.
This may include:
Preparing the home before family stays.
Restocking pantry items and household supplies.
Coordinating deliveries, maintenance and tradespeople.
Liaising with cleaners and other service providers.
Ensuring the property is beautifully presented and ready to enjoy.
Occasionally travelling to Flinders with the family when required.
This aspect of the role is focused on organisation and property management rather than heavy cleaning.
About You

Essential Requirements
Current Australian Driver's Licence with a safe driving record.
Previous experience as a Nanny, Household Manager, Family Assistant or in a similar role.
Strong cooking skills.
Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent references.
Full Australian working rights.

About Our Family
Our family is built around kindness, respect and spending quality time together.
Dad has full-time care of his wonderful 8-year-old son, who is active, confident and loves basketball and being outdoors. His 20-year-old son also lives at home and is independent, so no childcare is required for him. However, his laundry and general household needs form part of the overall household management responsibilities.
We also spend time at our beach house in Flinders, and there may be opportunities to accompany the family or assist with preparing the property for weekends and holidays.
We're looking for someone who enjoys creating order, takes pride in their work, and loves being part of a positive family environment.
Hours & Remuneration
Full-time position.
Flexibility is essential.
Occasional evenings and weekends.
Some travel to Flinders may be required.
Competitive salary package based on experience and suitability.
