encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Event Space, Executive Lounge, and 17 meeting spaces. Located at the Brisbane Airport precinct.
We have an exciting new opportunity available for a Commis Chef to join our energetic team working across Catalina Restaurant, in room Dining and Conferencing located at the Novotel Brisbane Airport. Catalina is a vibrant and inviting restaurant with a warm atmosphere and quality food. Our focus and objective are to provide an excellent dining experience for all our guests.
About the role
Provide courteous, efficient and professional service to exceed guest expectations.
Perform tasks within a timely manner.
Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high quality standards.




Maintain standards of all health and hygiene requirements.
Liaise with the Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals.
About You
Excellence in customer service
A can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent grooming and presentation.
The ability & flexibility to work across a 7-day working environment, including weekends and public holidays, with a focus on Dinner service.
Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
Understanding of workplace health and safety principals
Own transportation is essential
Minimum 1-2 years of commercial kitchen experience is required.
Certificate IV or higher in cooking qualification is required.
