Manufacturing company with over 37 years of industry experience, specialising in light to heavy fabricated components and precision CNC machined parts are currently looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Coolaroo, Victoria.
This is a full-time position where the successful applicant will program, set up and operate a range of CNC machines to produce high-precision components while ensuring all parts meet engineering drawings and specifications.
Your Responsibilities
Program, set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes
Select the correct tooling, inserts and fixtures for each job
Determine appropriate feeds and speeds
Machine parts to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications
Work with a range of materials including carbon steel,



stainless steel and exotic alloys
Maintain measuring and inspection equipment
Carry out CNC programming
Skills & Experience
Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification
At least 3 years' experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment
Experience with CNC programming (preferred)
Experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines (not required but an advantage)
