What you'll do
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
Assist the General Manager and Training Team in onboarding new staff members, providing training on recipes, customer service standards, and operational procedures.
Lead by example during your shift, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and a customer-first attitude.
Manage opening and closing procedures, including setting up the café at the start of the day and closing down safely at the end of each shift.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the café, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, resolving minor issues to ensure a positive experience.
Collaborate with team members to increase foot traffic, implement local marketing initiatives, and promote the brand within the community.
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, placing orders when necessary, and minimizing waste.




Assist in achieving sales targets by encouraging upselling and promoting recent products or promotions.
Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, providing feedback, and encouraging professional development.
Ensure operational standards are met consistently, including health and safety, cleanliness, and product quality.
Work closely with the management team to implement company policies and procedures effectively.
Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages customer loyalty and community engagement.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company initiatives and product offerings.
Support the overall success of the café by being adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented in daily tasks.
Requirements
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail environments, ideally in a café or food service setting.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the café's operational hours.
Full-time availability of 35 hours per week, with at least two peak days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
Ability to work between 6:30 am and 9:00 pm, including early morning shifts and late evenings.
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in supervising or managing staff.
A positive attitude and a customer-focused mindset.
Willingness to work in a fast‐paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.




Authorization to work legally in the UK is required.
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during busy periods.
Basic understanding of health and safety standards relevant to food service.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Nice to have
Passion for coffee and familiarity with café culture.
Experience in training or mentoring team members, especially in a customer service setting.
