Conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products and finished products
Monitor production activities in accordance with company SOPs, HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements
Inspect hygiene, cleaning, labelling, batch coding and packaging during production
Carry out product sampling, retention sample management and basic quality testing
Complete and maintain QC inspection records, production records and quality documentation
Identify, label, isolate and report non-conforming materials or products
Assist with investigations relating to deviations, non-conformances and customer complaints
Monitor employee compliance with hygiene, GMP and operational requirements
Assist with internal audits, external audits and ongoing maintenance of the quality management system
Perform other quality-related duties as directed by the Quality Manager

Requirements
Qualification in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Management or a related field is preferred
Previous QC experience in food, dairy, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments is preferred
Basic understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality control principles
Robust attention to detail and a responsible approach to work
Good documentation, organisation and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and general office software
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work in a factory and production environment
Valid Australian working rights
