Nexus Construction Systems has supported Australia's construction industry since ****. We supply construction products and hire braces to the precast and tilt-up concrete sector through a national branch network.
THE CHANCE
We are seeking a practical, hands‐on Operations Manager to run our Western Australian operation in Gnangara. You will lead a small operational team while staying close to the day‐to‐day work across the warehouse, stock, dispatch, deliveries, brace hire and customer service.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will keep the branch organised, safe and responsive. This role suits someone who is comfortable making decisions, solving problems and stepping in to help the team when required.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Lead the day‐to‐day operation of the WA branch and set clear priorities for the team.
Manage warehouse, inventory control, dispatch, transport and logistics performance.
Oversee the brace hire fleet, including availability, utilisation, inspection, maintenance and asset control.
Coordinate customer orders, brace hire bookings, returns, transport and deliveries.
Drive a strong WHS culture and ensure work is planned and performed safely.
Monitor service, stock, fleet and operating costs and deal with issues early.
Improve simple, practical systems while keeping the operation responsive.
Build effective relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Coach and develop the WA team, creating accountability and teamwork.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Proven hands‐on operations or branch leadership experience in construction supply, equipment hire, industrial distribution, warehousing or a comparable environment.
Strong working knowledge of warehouse, logistics, inventory and asset or fleet management.
Experience leading a small team while remaining involved in daily operations.
Sound commercial judgement, cost awareness and practical decision‐making.
A practical understanding of WHS obligations in warehouse, yard and transport environments.
Clear communication, disciplined planning and a calm, solutions‐focused approach.
A current Australian driver's licence and unrestricted Australian working rights.
