The Opportunity
Mandurah's parks, reserves and public open spaces are at theheart of our community, providing places for recreation, connectionand enjoyment. As the City continues to invest in these spaces, weare seeking a capable and motivated Project Officer to help plan,deliver and improve a diverse range of projects and programs.
Working within the Landscape Management team, you willcontribute to public open space planning, asset management, signageand memorial programs, and the delivery of projects that enhancethe City's parks and reserves. You will work closely with internalstakeholders, contractors, developers and the community to achievepractical and lasting outcomes.
This role is being offered as a part-time position over the nexttwo years as part of a planned transition within the team. We areopen to candidates with a range of experience levels. For the rightperson,



this could provide an opportunity to progressively take onbroader responsibilities in the future. Equally, experiencedcandidates may bring specialist skills that complement the existingrole, allowing responsibilities to be shared and tailored tomaximise team outcomes.
With continued investment in parks, reserves and public openspace infrastructure, there is potential for the role to evolveinto a full time position in the future.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Diploma in Horticulture, Landscape Design, Asset Managementor a related discipline.
Current unrestricted driver's licence.
Experience in project coordination, project delivery, parksand reserves, landscape design, open space planning or arelated field.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communicationskills.
Well-developed organisational, research and problem-solvingabilities.
Experience preparing technical documentation,specifications, reports or scopes of works.
The ability to work collaboratively while managingcompeting priorities.
