About us
Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practicesthat reduce reoffendingandconnect individuals toprograms,servicesand community. CCS provides management of individuals on Drug court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
About the role
As the Manager Court Practice, you will be responsible for overseeing operations at one or more community correctional services locations and has direct supervision and oversight of Advanced Case Managers and Supervisors of Court Assessment and Prosecutions Services (CAPS) for Drug Court. This role will provide support and guidance to highly skilled and experienced case management and CAPS practitioners on mitigating risk through evidence-based practices.
This role will support case management practitioners to strengthen existing transitional practices to improve outcomes for complex and high-risk clients who are subject to a Community Correction Order. This role will also contribute to the development of partnerships with judiciary at Melbourne and local community services, including Courts and local Police.
You will be required to participate in the "on call" after hours Duty Director system as rostered.
To be successful in this role you will have:
extensivecase management experience with complex and high-risk clients
extensive understanding of best practice risk minimisation and therapeuticinitiatives
experience in managing teams and resources ensuring smooth delivery of services
an ability to monitor financial performance, resource and staffing requirements.




A relevantqualification in social work, human services or criminal justice discipline,with work experience in a similar fieldis also desirable.
