The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven, commercially minded Estimator with strong business development capability to join our growing team.
This is a pivotal, client-facing role that combines technical estimating expertise with sales and relationship management. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, securing new work, and converting enquiries into successful projects.
The role will see you working across remedial, civil, and building projects, including government and private sector tenders, while actively engaging with clients and representing the business with confidence.
About You
You are a confident communicator and natural relationship builder who can engage clients, understand their needs, and sell solutions effectively.
You bring a strong background in estimating within the construction industry, along with proven experience in government tenders and remedial/building works. You're equally comfortable preparing detailed costings as you are meeting clients, attending site visits, and winning work.
Key Responsibilities




Prepare accurate estimates, take-offs, and costings from plans and site inspections
Develop construction methodologies across civil, remedial, and building projects
Price and submit government and private tenders
Build, manage, and maintain strong client relationships
Confidently present, negotiate, and sell AWS Services' capabilities to clients
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
Assist in pricing variations throughout project delivery
Provide project handovers and support delivery teams
Monitor cost trends and provide commercial insights
What You'll Bring
Minimum 5+ years' experience in estimating within construction, civil, or remedial sectors
Proven experience pricing and submitting government tenders (essential)
Strong background in remedial and building works (e.g. concrete repair, waterproofing, façade works, refurbishments)
Demonstrated ability to win work and convert opportunities through robust client engagement
Confident communication and presentation skills
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
