To identify barriers within the domestic and family violence sector and mobilise the vital resources needed to strengthen access to safe housing, case management, counselling, legal support, material aid and recovery programs.
Our Purpose
We work alongside our members – frontline domestic and family violence services – to understand demand and identify the gaps, bottlenecks and barriers that prevent women and children from accessing the support they need.
We create tangible and novel solutions and empower corporates and communities to contribute, while fostering greater awareness, empathy and connection to the challenges experienced by those impacted by domestic and family violence.

We work with over 300 domestic and family services, including:
95+ women's shelters
Case workers and specialist family violence professionals
Legal services and court support
Material aid providers
Programs focused on rebuilding emotional and financial independence
Position Overview
The Member Engagement Manager is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with the DV Collective's member organisations, ensuring they are actively connected to the resources, partnerships and initiatives that enhance their capacity to support women and children impacted by domestic and family violence.
As the organisation's primary relationship manager with frontline services, the role develops a deep understanding of the needs, challenges and emerging trends across the sector. These insights help inform the DV Collective's strategic priorities, ensuring resources, partnerships and programs are directed where they will create the greatest impact.
The role leads membership growth and engagement, coordinates member participation across key programs and campaigns, including volunteering initiatives, essential drives and the Safe Bed Program, and ensures member engagement is accurately captured through the organisation's CRM.
Key Responsibilities
1. Member Engagement and Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with DV Collective member organisations, and their key decision-makers to strengthen engagement and identify opportunities for collaboration and capacity building.
Act as the primary point of contact for member engagement enquiries,



ensuring requests are responded to promptly and coordinated effectively across the organisation.
Conduct regular outreach to member organisations to understand operational needs, identify opportunities for support and strengthen ongoing engagement.
2. Membership Development and Sector Engagement
Identify, map and engage prospective member organisations aligned with the DV Collective's strategic priorities.
Lead the engagement, onboarding and ongoing integration of new member organisations, maintaining an active pipeline of prospective members within the organisation's CRM.
Develop and maintain organisational intelligence regarding sector needs, service capacity, infrastructure opportunities and emerging challenges facing member organisations and the women and children they support.
Identify and develop strategic opportunities to strengthen frontline capacity through infrastructure, partnerships and resource mobilisation.
Provide regular insights and recommendations that inform the DV Collective's strategic priorities, program development and resource allocation.
3. Program and Campaign Coordination
Coordinate and facilitate member participation across the DV Collective's programs, initiatives and resource distribution activities, including volunteering programs, essential drives and the Safe Bed Program.
Monitor program participation, identify emerging opportunities or delivery risks, and provide recommendations to maximise member engagement and organisational impact.
Develop and manage an annual calendar of member engagement activities, campaigns, events and communications.
4. CRM Management, Data Integrity and Reporting
Develop and maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date records for current and prospective member organisations, including key decision-makers, organisational contacts and engagement history, within the organisation's CRM system (HubSpot).
Ensure reliable CRM data is maintained to support organisational reporting, strategic planning and informed decision-making.
Maintain visibility of active, prospective and inactive member organisations to support engagement planning and membership growth.
5. Communications and Digital Platforms
Develop and maintain relevant sections of the DV Collective website relating to members, including member lists, member profiles and member portal.
Capture and communicate the impact of member activities to leadership and, where appropriate,



across digital platforms through the development of impact stories and other communications.
Develop member communications and campaign materials, including EDMs, forms and digital content, to support member engagement and participation.
Develop resources and materials that support members to access and participate in the DV Collective's programs, services and benefits.
6. Volunteering Program Delivery
Coordinate the planning and delivery of volunteering initiatives and events
Identify opportunities to increase volunteer engagement across the DV Collective network.
Monitor program performance and elevate risks or challenges early.
Work collaboratively with partners and member organisations to identify and secure volunteering opportunities that contribute to organisational impact and revenue targets.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, membership management or partnerships, preferably within the not-for-profit, community or human services sector.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience identifying opportunities for collaboration, partnership development and organisational growth.
Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and communicate information to inform planning, decision-making and continuous improvement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop skilled communications, reports, presentations and engagement materials.
Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems, preferably HubSpot, with a strong commitment to data quality and integrity.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a small, high-performing team while also managing work independently.
High level of initiative, problem-solving skills and sound judgement, with the ability to identify opportunities and proactively respond to challenges.
A commitment to the mission of the DV Collective and an understanding of the importance of strengthening the capacity of organisations supporting women and children impacted by domestic and family violence.
