Construction Lawyer - Sydney - 3+ Month contract
Role Overview
Elevate has partnered with one of Australia's leading real-estate groups to onboard an experienced
Construction Lawyer
for a contract opportunity within a high-performing in-house legal team in Sydney. This role offers a hybrid working workplace and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced legal professionals on high-profile matters, supporting a range of major construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on a range of construction and infrastructure projects and related legal matters
Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts and project documentation
Provide commercially focused legal advice on project delivery, risk allocation, and contractual issues
Support project teams and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Assist with the identification and management of legal and commercial risks
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisors where required
Required Experience & Qualifications
6+ years PQE preferred with strong front-end construction law experience gained in private practice and/or an in-house environment
Demonstrated experience advising on construction contracts and major projects
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills
Ability to work independently and operate effectively within a fast-paced environment
Previous in-house experience will be highly regarded
Ability to commence at short notice is preferred
