About the role
We are seeking a Quality qualified to join AGT in Melbourne or at any of our main laboratories in Ballarat, Adelaide, Warrnambool and Brisbane. This is a full-time position designed to ensure the highest standards of quality assurance and control across our construction operations. As Quality, you will play a vital role in maintaining project excellence, compliance, and safety standards whilst driving continuous improvement across all aspects of our work. This position is instrumental in protecting AGT's reputation and ensuring that every project meets or exceeds client expectations and regulatory requirements.
What you'll be doing
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures that align with industry standards and client specifications
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards
Identify deficiencies, non-conformances, and areas for improvement, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions
Liaise with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure quality expectations are clearly communicated and understood
Prepare detailed quality reports, documentation, and records to support project delivery and regulatory compliance
Review technical specifications, drawings, and project plans to assess quality requirements and potential risk areas
Oversee material testing and certification processes to ensure all materials meet specified standards and requirements




Support the development and delivery of quality training and awareness programmes for site personnel
Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards as they relate to quality outcomes
Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in quality management, construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline
Proven experience in quality assurance and control within the construction industry, preferably on medium to large-scale projects
Strong knowledge of relevant Australian standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements (such as AS/NZS, NCC, and relevant Australian standards)
Demonstrated expertise in quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and documentation practices
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify deficiencies and non-conformances
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment




Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications such as NATA accreditation or ISO **** qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices
