Western Districts Netball Association is a not for profit organisation seeking a dedicatedGroundskeeper / Cleanerto join our team on apart-time basis.
Based in Graceville, QLD ****, this role is essential to maintaining the high standards of our facilities and grounds.
You will be responsible for ensuring our netball courts, surrounding areas and indoor spaces are clean, well-maintained and welcoming for our members, players and visitors.
This position plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our association and contributing to a positive experience for everyone who uses our facilities.
Key responsibilities
Maintaining netball courts, including keeping free of debris, and ensuring surfaces are safe
Performing regular grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, weeding, line marking and general outdoor upkeep
Cleaning and sanitising indoor facilities, including change rooms, toilets and common areas as required
Waste Management - Managing rubbish and waste from all areas of the facility, collection of litter around grounds, clean bins and reline after events
Restocking supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap and cleaning materials
Reporting any damage to facilities or equipment to management promptly
Performing minor repairs and maintenance as required
Assisting with set-up and pack-down of equipment for events and competitions as required
Maintaining cleaning equipment and tools in good working order
Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation in canteen
Following health and safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a groundskeeper, cleaner or in a similar maintenance role
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and bending
Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and techniques
Experience with grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly as required
Excellent communication skills and a qualified attitude
Strong Time Management - ability to prioritise work tasks and balance workload
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current First Aid or CPR certification is desirable
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) may be required
