In this role, you will lead the delivery of Diversional Therapy Services within the hospital, making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients with complex needs.
Working as part of the Occupational Therapy Department and a fast-paced multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in supporting patients with dementia, delirium, complex disabilities, and behavioural challenges.
Through the provision of timely, safe, and individualised therapeutic interventions, you will help promote recovery, independence, positive behaviour management, and an improved quality of life, while also providing valuable education and support to patients and their carers.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
Recognised Degree in Diversional Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, which provides eligibility for membership with the Diversional Therapy Association of Australia National Council.
Please provide an example of a time you have developed and implemented a targeted Diversional Therapy program for a client or a patient with dementia or BPSD.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
Learner's licenses are not permitted.
