About the role
The successful applicant will support the day-to-day operation of the practice, including:
Chairside dental assisting in a general dentistry setting
Instrument cleaning and sterilisation
Patient communication and appointment coordination
General support of the clinical and administrative team
This is not a reception-only role.
The successful applicant must be comfortable working in the surgery.
Training and support
Full on-the-job training provided— no experience required
Training willcommence primarily in the clinical and sterilisation areas, ensuring a strong foundation in infection control and clinical workflows
Reception duties will be introduced progressivelyonce confidence and proficiency in the clinical setting are demonstrated
Ongoing mentoring and support throughout the training period

Isreliable, resilient, and keen to learn




Hasexcellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is comfortable working in a clinical environment
Is willing and able to work until7:00 pmon rostered days
Maintainshigh standards of personal hygiene and skilled presentation, recognising their importance to patient comfort, safety, and infection control
Works well as part of a supportive and professional team
Must holdAustralian permanent residency or citizenshipto be eligible for this role
Candidates must hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship before applying, as temporary visa holders are not eligible for this position
Remuneration
Award wages apply during the training period, with progression aligned to skills, experience, and demonstrated capability.
