SAL Consulting is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our senior practitioner team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin.
This is more than a clinical role.
Alongside a diverse and rewarding caseload, you'll contribute to the growth of our Speech Pathology discipline, mentor emerging clinicians, and help strengthen our national practice.
From communication and language interventions to complex disability, autism, dysphagia, trauma-informed practice, early intervention and forensic work, Speech Pathologists at SAL have opportunities to work across an unusually broad range of practice areas while being supported to develop their own areas of interest.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll combine direct clinical work with mentoring and discipline development activities.
Your Work Will Include
Delivering high-quality Speech Pathology services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings
Providing assessment, intervention and consultation services to people with diverse and often complex needs
Supporting individuals, families, carers and support teams to achieve meaningful outcomes
Mentoring and coaching developing practitioners
Contributing to discipline growth, clinical innovation and service development
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic and person-centred outcomes

Based in Darwin, you'll have opportunities to work across urban, regional and remote settings, including remote Indigenous communities.
There is also flexibility to work from home for administration and report writing.

Desired Skills And Experience
Mandatory Requirements
Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status through Speech Pathology Australia
Unrestricted Australian working rights
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement
Essential Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Speech Pathologist
Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health, justice or related sectors)
Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting developing practitioners
Highly Regarded
Formal supervision experience
Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needs
Experience conducting communication assessments, intervention planning and service delivery across the lifespan
Experience in dysphagia and mealtime management
Experience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in everyday environments
Experience in practice development activities
