ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking aAccounts Receivable Officerto become an integral part of our Finance Team.
This is a full-time, 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension.
This roleis based at our head office in the Brisbane Technology Park at Eight Mile Plains.
This position is highly suited to an energetic individual who is a fast learner, a good communicator and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You will be working closely with all stakeholders, and will be embraced by a highly supportive and collaborative team.
Client Payment Allocation:Accurately and promptly allocate all incoming payments, including those via Stripe and other channels, ensuring proper posting to customer accounts.
Debt Collection:Monitor overdue accounts,
perform regular reconciliations, and proactively follow up with clients to recover outstanding balances.
Client Inquiries:Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external queries via email and phone, providing timely and accurate responses.
Manage client disputes, resolving issues within 48 hours or escalating for management review when necessary.
Perform daily bank reconciliation and investigate any exceptions promptly.
Maintain and update account records to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in reviewing credit applications, setting credit limits, and defining payment terms for new and existing customers.
Collaborate with finance, sales, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or CFO.
Ensure all work aligns with documented environmental procedures and internal instructions.
The Successful Applicant Will Ideally Have:
Experience in an Accounts Receivable role, including debt collection.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform effectively under high work demands.
Proficiency in computers, including experience with MYOB EXO.
Excellent attention to detail.
A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to contribute to process improvements.
