Medview Education is seeking experiencedQCE Maths and/or English Tutorsto join our team on acontract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators to make a meaningful impact on students' academic success during their QCE journey.
You will deliver high-quality tutoring services to high achieving secondary students, supporting their academic goals in mathematics and/or English subjects.
This role offers flexibility and the chance to work with motivated learners in a supportive educational environment.
This role will require applicants to offer sessions in person inBrisbane, with the option to take on additional hours online.
Key responsibilities
Deliver engaging and tailored tutoring sessions to QCE students in Maths and/or English, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
Develop comprehensive lesson plans and educational materials aligned with QCE curriculum requirements and assessment standards
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain detailed records of student development and achievement
Prepare students effectively for QCE examinations, including practice assessments and targeted revision sessions
Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress, areas for improvement, and strategies for academic success
Identify students who may require additional support or extension and recommend appropriate interventions
Stay current with QCE curriculum updates, teaching methodologies, and educational best practices
Collaborate with other tutors and education staff to ensure consistency in service delivery and student outcomes
What we're looking for
Demonstrated expertise in QCE Maths and/or English, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related discipline
Proven experience tutoring secondary school students, particularly in QCE or equivalent qualifications




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly
Solid organisational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple students and sessions
Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive, supportive learning environment
Commitment to professional development and staying informed about current educational practices
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work varied hours to accommodate student scheduling needs
Current or valid Blue Card
Preferred: Teaching certification or formal tutoring qualifications, experience with online tutoring platforms, or specialisation in exam preparation
