About the Role
MCA Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Workshop Foreman to lead our workshopoperations in Parkes, NSW.
This is a permanent leadership role responsible for supervising a team of Boilermakers and Apprentices while ensuring workshop activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
This is a hands-on role where you will provide leadership, coordinate workflow, mentor apprentices and support the fabrication, repair and maintenance of mining equipment and structural components.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of Boilermakers and Apprentices
Plan, schedule and coordinate daily workshop activities to meet project deadlines
Mentor and develop apprentices and less experienced tradespeople
Ensure all fabrication, repair and maintenance work meets quality and safety standards
Read and interpret engineering drawings,



blueprints and specifications
Oversee fabrication, assembly and repair of mining equipment and structural steel
Coordinate procurement of materials and workshop consumables
Manage workflow, labour allocation and workshop productivity
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and client procedures
Liaise with project managers, supervisors and clients regarding workshop priorities
What We're Looking For
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Fabricator
Demonstrated experience leading workshop teams in mining, engineering or heavy industrial environments
Proven leadership and people management skills
Solid knowledge of fabrication, welding and heavy equipment repairs
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
White Card and current driver's licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing
Forklift Licence, Dogging or Rigging Tickets, Confined Space, Working at Heights, First Aid Certificate are highly regarded.
