The Role
This is a hands-on role.



You will be on the road servicing and maintaining smoke alarms in residential properties across the region, working alongside our electricians and experienced technicians. With Queensland's smoke alarm laws extending to every home from 1 January ****, demand for what we do is about to step up again, and you will be joining right at the start of that journey. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with no weekend work ever. No prior smoke alarm experience is necessary; full training is provided and you will be supported every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake smoke alarm maintenance and installation to meet current Queensland legislation
Complete your daily work list across Hervey Bay and surrounding areas
Provide professional, courteous service to clients, letting agents and tenants
Complete accurate service reports for every property serviced
Maintain your company vehicle, tools, uniform and stock to a high standard
Support our electricians and senior technicians with general duties as required
Work safely at all times and follow company policies and procedures
The successful candidate will possess
Manual driver's licence and be willing to travel
Comfortable working with ladders, at heights and accessing roof spaces / ceiling cavities
The ability to work autonomously and efficiently
Be self-driven to work in a fast-paced environment
Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
Desirable (not essential)
Trade background (highly regarded)
CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain one
Additional Information
The applicant must be a resident of Hervey Bay or an area nearby.
Training, tools, phone and work vehicle provided.
