Job Description
In this two-year traineeship during which you will work towards completing a NWP***** Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment qualification., As a Water Treatment Trainee, you will work varying rosters depending on your team's requirements across a 76-hour fortnight.
Your on-the-job training will involve being mentored by industry specialists working within a water treatment plant that will be based in Condabri.
Duties will include learning practical water treatment skills, including sampling and testing, monitoring, operating and controlling treatment processes such as membrane filtration and reverse osmosis.
You will also learn to coordinate and monitor environmental plans and procedures.

Completed Year 10 or Year 12, or hold an equivalent qualification
Genuine interest in building a long-term career in the industry
Strong attention to detail and an investigative mind - you can identify how the smallest things impact the bigger picture
Complete tasks to a high standard while following the instructions of supervising team members
Maintain a strong focus on safety and the environment by following Origin safety processes and procedures
Willing to work in different environments and physically challenging conditions, including outdoors and in varied weather
Work collaboratively in designated teams
Commit to the completion of the qualification, submit assessments as required and attend all allocated shifts
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Good computer skills for workplace and training requirements
You are ready to learn and develop strong health, safety and environment values and principles, while also committing to personal learning and development
Reliable transport to and from work and a current manual driver's licence, minimum P Plate level
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
Full time 2-year contract including paid annual and personal leave
