Unique opportunity for individuals with a
Science background
to gain valuable, hands‐on experience in an
Industrial Chemistry Setting
.
Duties:
Organise and unpack chemical waste
Sort chemicals into their classes
Decant and dispose chemical waste
Package chemical waste for destruction
Wear PPE (full-face respirators, chemical suits, face shields, etc.)
Test chemicals to determine their composition and flammability
Key Considerations:
Primarily a warehouse/yard-based role (not a lab environment)
Majority of work is




hands‐on/manual
Manual handling required (lifting up to 25kg drums)
Exposure to a wide range of chemicals (from basic to more complex materials
Skills & Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering
Knowledge of safe chemical handling
Previous warehouse experience - highly regarded
Ability to lift up to 25kg
Can-do attitude, enthusiastic to work
Ability to work in a fast‐paced workplace
