RATCH-Australia Corporation (RAC) is owned by RATCH Group PCL (RATCH), a Thai public company listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
RATCH Group is majority owned by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) which is a 45% stakeholder.
RAC was established in **** and is one of the largest owners and operators of renewable and firming energy generation assets in the Australian market and at the forefront of the renewable energy sector in Australia.
Currently owning and managing 11 energy generation assets around Australia including wind, solar and gas fired powered stations providing stability to the renewable energy market.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available to join our team as a WHS & Compliance Manager within our Assets team, based in North Sydney.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will play a key role leading RAC's Work Health and Safety (WHS), compliance, and governance framework across its portfolio of renewable energy and power generation assets including the offices around Australia (Sydney, Adelaide and Perth).
As RAC operates assets primarily through contracted Operations and Maintenance (O&M;) service providers, the role focuses on establishing and overseeing effective contractor assurance systems rather than day‐to‐day operational supervision.
The position also supports business development and project delivery by ensuring appropriate WHS and compliance considerations are incorporated during due diligence, development, construction, commissioning, and transition to operations.
Given the geographically dispersed nature of operations, the role requires travel to operational and constructions sites throughout Australia.

Your Background
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline.
A minimum 10 to 20+ years' experience in WHS leadership
Strategic WHS leadership and safety culture development.
Extensive knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulatory frameworks, and compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong understanding of contractor governance, assurance, and performance management within outsourced operating models.
Advanced risk management, hazard identification, and critical risk control verification capability.
Proven incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management skills.
Strong compliance management and corporate governance capability, including regulatory reporting and audit management.
Experience developing,
implementing, and continuously improving WHS Management Systems and assurance frameworks.
Strong understanding of renewable energy, electricity generation, infrastructure, or industrial operational environments.
Ability to provide practical WHS and compliance advice during project development, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
Demonstrated capability in conducting audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and assurance assessments.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
Ability to influence and engage contractors, project teams, executives, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capability.
High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Previous experience working in a cross-cultural environment will be considered favourably as will experience in the energy sector.
