Coolmore Australia is situated in the Hunter Valley with the property covering 10,000 acres.
We are looking for a full-time Senior or Junior Farm Hand to join our team.
With a remuneration package to be negotiated based off experience.
Accommodation is available for singles only.
The mixed farming enterprises include beef cattle (both breeding and trading), irrigated improved pastures for grazing livestock and hay production as well as dual purpose cropping.
Although the property is primarily a thoroughbred breeding stud, you will not be involved with the horses day-to-day.
We have a mixture of irrigated river flats and rolling hills.
Its scale and quality are rarely beaten in this region.
We are located just over one hour to Newcastle City Centre and the beach, and as well as the major towns of Singleton and Muswellbrook under 30 minutes' drive for all necessities.
Daily Tasks
The day-to-day tasks the successful candidate will be involved in include:
Irrigation, including a mixture of soft hose, hard hose, and centre pivots.
Farm machinery operation including haymaking, sowing, spraying, and spreading.
Pasture management
Farm maintenance and earthworks
Fencing repairs (major fencing projects are outsourced)
We don't expect applicants to have experience in all areas, however attitude and aptitude are crucial.




A current and valid Drivers Licence is essential for these roles.
We have internal mechanics to maintain all machinery, so you will spend most of your time in the paddock.
The role covers a diverse range of skills, however, due to the scale there may be an opportunity to focus on specific areas of the role in the future (i.e. machinery operation, cattle or irrigation).
You will be working in a large team with a wealth of knowledge and experience, including all age ranges, both male and female.
