This isn't your typical transactional accounting role.
You'll be the go-to person for financial reporting, compliance, technical accounting advice and month-end processes, while working closely with stakeholders across a large and complex business.

What you'll be doing:
You'll play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation through:
Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements and reports
Managing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and cash flow reporting
Providing technical accounting advice across a broad range of financial matters
Assisting with audits, compliance requirements and statutory reporting
Contributing to the resolution of complex accounting and reporting issues
Preparing reports, presentations and insights for key stakeholders
Supporting financial projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Helping ensure accounting policies, controls and compliance obligations are met
What we're looking for:
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
CA or CPA qualification (or be actively working towards it)
Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role within a large or complex organisation
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SunSystems, TechnologyOne or similar
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing deadlines
