ABOUT THE ROLE
The Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter is to be responsible for upkeeping machinery and repairs on Qube Forestry's Infield Equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Perform mechanical inspections and servicing (Preventative maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop manager and maintenance planner.
Carry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop manager and maintenance planner
Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediately
Complete any mechanical works as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturer
Ensure all completed mechanical documentation are submitted to the maintenance planner for record keeping
Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvement
Assist other roles for any tasks deemed necessary by management
Participate in any meetings including any prestart, HSE, maintenance toolbox meetings and any other meetings deemed necessary
Notify workshop manager of any defects/damage on all mobile equipment
Liaise with workshop manager and maintenance planner to ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled
Attend Fleet roadside breakdowns as required
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Heavy Duty Diesel mechanic trade certificate
Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
Sound skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
Ability to work well within a small team environment
