We are seeking a Lawyer with 2-3 years, post admission experience in civil disputes and litigation, particularly commercial and estate litigation. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to further develop your career within a supportive and collaborative environment. While you will be primarily working on dispute and litigation matters, you will be required to handle and progress a variety of other matters including transactional work. Key responsibilities - Your duties will include but will not be limited to:
Progressing matters in a timely manner from the outset of taking initial instructions, under guidance from our Principals and support from our Associate.
Reviewing and carefully analysing client instructions and documents and letters and material produced by other parties to determine the appropriate next steps and strategy in a matter.
Providing prudent and concise legal advice to clients verbally and in writing.
Drafting documents, including, without limitations, letters of advice, letters to lawyers acting for other parties, affidavits, position statements, subpoenas, notices and pleadings.




Preparing thorough and detailed memorandums and briefs to counsel.
Conferring with Counsel to progress matters in a timely manner
Attending mediations and hearings as an instructor to counsel across a range of matters including at VCAT, the Magistrates' Court, County Court and Supreme Court.
What we are looking for
2-3 year PAE in Litigation
Knowledge of applicable rules and practice, for matters at VCAT, Magistrates' Court, County Court and Supreme Court.
Proven experience in handling an extensive workload, particularly across commercial and estate litigation matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and preparing transparent and concise communications
Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage numerous matters concurrently, prioritise effectively and meet deadline
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and counsel
A personable practitioner with a team first emphasis who has an ability to collaborate and work with colleagues in a collegiate environment
