Schema Therapy Institute Australia is a prestigious and progressive private practice with locations across Victoria. We are leaders in Schema Therapy and integrative psychological care, offering a strong culture of collaboration, clinical excellence, and genuine professional support.
We are seeking experienced psychologists with at least 2 to 4 years of post registration experience who are ready for a clinical role. This position is ideal for clinicians who want depth in their work, influence in their workplace, and the opportunity to contribute to shaping both people and practice, not just carry a caseload.
This position is for our Werribee location only.

About the role
We are seeking clinicians for our Werribee location, who are thoughtful, grounded,



and confident in working with complexity. You will provide individual therapy to clients presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, with a strong focus on trauma informed care, personality pathology, and longer term therapeutic work.
This role suits clinicians who enjoy reflection, collaboration, and clinical depth. Beyond direct client work, there are opportunities to contribute through mentoring, consultation, and involvement in broader practice initiatives and decision making.
One part time position is available, with possibility for full-time for the right candidate. Opportunity for morning or afternoon hours, with the potential for telehealth.
Key selection criteria
Current registration as a mental health practitioner with AHPRA
Medicare Provider Number and understanding of Medicare requirements
Minimum 2 to 4 years relevant clinical experience
EMDR trained preferred but not essential
Schema therapy training desirable but not essential
High level written and verbal communication skills
Experience delivering individual therapy and group programs
Experience working with complex presentations including personality pathology and trauma
Strong treatmentplanning skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Interest in supporting and developing early career clinicians
Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
Proactive and self directed approach to work
Strong problem solving and initiative
Remuneration
Salary $80,000 to $140,000 plus OTE per annum (prorata), dependent on clinical experience.
