About Us
Casey Hospital's Operating Suite comprises
six operating theatres and two procedure rooms
, delivering care to both adult and paediatric patients across a diverse range of elective and emergency surgical services.
Our specialties include:
General Surgery
Colorectal Surgery and Endoscopy
Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
Urology
Plastic Surgery
Paediatric Surgery
Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Robotics
As our surgical services continue to expand, you'll have the opportunity to work in a quick-paced environment while developing your skills across a broad clinical caseload.
About the Role
Join our experienced Perioperative Services team at Casey Hospital and play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care across a broad range of surgical specialties.
We have
fixed-term parental leave opportunities
available for experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses, with both
full-time (76 hours per fortnight)
and
part-time
positions available.
These roles operates on a
rotating Monday to Sunday roster
, including weekends, on-call requirements and 10-hour shifts.
Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative journey. We are committed to fostering a positive workplace culture where education, professional development and continuous learning are strongly supported.
About You
You are an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering safe, patient-centred care. Whether your expertise is in
Anaesthetics/PACU
or you are Dual Skilled, you enjoy working collaboratively, supporting your colleagues and contributing to positive patient outcomes.
Applications are encouraged from nurses with experience in either specialty, with dual-skilled clinicians highly regarded.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA,essential
Demonstrated experience in Perioperative Nursing within Anaesthetics/PACU and/or Scrub/Scout,essential
Experience working across a rotating roster, including weekends, on-call and night duty.
Paediatric Anaesthetics and PACU experience (highly regarded).
A commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
A commitment to education, mentoring and supporting colleagues.
Experience participating in quality improvement activities, clinical audits and local service initiatives.
Current Working with Children Check.
