AMIGA Montessori Cranbourne West is seeking a passionate and capable
Assistant Centre Manager (2IC)
to support our Centre Manager and inspire our team of educators. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career. You will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre, supporting educators, building positive relationships with families and maintaining high standards of education, care and compliance.
About the Role
Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will:
Support the daily operations of the service
Mentor, guide and motivate educators
Step into the Centre Manager role when required
Support roster management and ensure regulatory ratios are maintained
Build strong and respectful relationships with children and families
Assist with enrolments, family enquiries and centre administration
Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and relevant regulations
Contribute to the centre's Quality Improvement Plan
Promote a positive, collaborative and professional team culture
Help create a welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued and heard

What We're Looking For
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-recognised equivalent or higher qualification
Previous experience in a leadership role, such as Room Leader, Educational Leader or 2IC
A valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
Current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis certifications
Robust knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
Confidence supporting daily operations, rostering and family communication
The ability to mentor and lead educators when the Centre Manager is absent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Montessori qualifications or experience are highly desirable
