STG - Staff Specialist - Homeless Health - 0.1FTE - TPT - 12 month appointment
THIS POSITION MAY BE EXTENDED AT THE DISCRETION OF SESLHD WITHOUT FURTHER ADVERTISEMENT OR INTERVIEW.
A physician general medicine clinic is conducted at the Mission Australia Centre, Surry Hills, once per fortnight. This is a formal outreach clinic of the Department of Homeless Health, St George Hospital.

In this role the specialist will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients who are homeless. Most reside at the Mission Australia Centre, Surry Hills, while others come to that centre from a range of places for their medical care. Conduct a weekly physician clinic at the Mission Australia Centre, Surry Hills, a formal outreach clinic of St George Hospital, working closely with nursing, administrative and allied health staff at the centre. Provide medical support from time to time for homeless patients after discharge from St George Hospital.
The primary location of this position may be wide-ranging as agreed with the Director of Medical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities in SESLHD.
