A leading global investment and technology organisation is looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join its high-performing infrastructure team in Sydney.
Your New Role
You'll become a key member of the global database engineering team, responsible for supporting, administering, optimising, and securing critical database environments. The position offers exposure to a broad range of technologies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand requirements and improve data flows.
Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions supporting large-scale production environments.
Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot performance across critical database platforms.
Develop automation capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
Implement security controls,



backup strategies, and disaster recovery processes.
Contribute to architectural decisions and best-practice standards.
Your Experience
Five or more years of experience administering enterprise-scale production databases.
Robust experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
Knowledge of database monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery strategies.
Experience with SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL
Scripting experience using PowerShell, Shell, or Python.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively within a collaborative environment.
