About the Role
Join our Integrated Family Services team in Wyndham as aFamily Practitioner, providing early intervention support to children andfamilies in the Wyndham community.
Working with parents/carers and children from pre-birth to18 years, you will deliver therapeutic parenting support, casework,counselling, and group programs to families experiencing challenges that mayimpact their safety, wellbeing, and development.
Using a whole-of-family approach, you will support familiesexperiencing complex circumstances, including trauma, mental health concerns,family violence, disadvantage, and Child Protection involvement, to strengthenprotective factors and improve outcomes for children and young people.
Duties
Provide therapeutic parenting support that strengthensfamily relationships, reduces risk factors, and builds protective factors forchildren and young people.




Manage a caseload of families, completing comprehensive assessments ofstrengths, needs, risks, and support requirements.
Work collaboratively with families to develop and implement whole-of-familyaction plans that prioritise children's health, safety, and wellbeing.
Deliver individual support, psycho-social education, and group programs forparents/carers on a range of parenting and wellbeing topics.
Complete risk assessments and documentation in line with relevant practiceframeworks and child safety requirements.
Build collaborative relationships with families, communities, and partnerorganisations to strengthen support pathways and integrated service delivery.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a relateddiscipline.
Experience providing therapeutic parenting support, family services casework,counselling, or early intervention support.
Understanding of family relationships, child development, and the impact offamily circumstances on children and young people.
Demonstrated ability to work with parents/carers and children acrossdevelopmental stages from pre-birth to 18 years.
Strong assessment, communication, organisational, and relationship-buildingskills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with diverse children,families, and communities, including First Nations people, LGBTIQA+ people,people with disability, people of colour, public housing residents, and peoplewith lived experience.

SCHADS Level 5 salary + superannuation
NFP salary packaging – up to $15,900 tax free each year
