Senior Payroll Coordinator | Brisbane CBD | Permanent | $100K + Super
Charterhouse are partnering with a highly regarded organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Payroll Coordinator to join their team.
Based in Brisbane CBD with excellent transport links, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive payroll function where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant and efficient payroll outcomes.
Working closely with the Payroll Manager, and wider business stakeholders, you will act as a senior payroll SME, providing technical guidance, resolving complex queries and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience within a high-volume Australian payroll workplace, with strong end-to-end payroll processing experience and a solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, EAs and compliance requirements. You will have experience providing technical guidance, mentoring or support to payroll team members, along with the ability to investigate and resolve complex payroll matters.




This role will see you coordinate fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles, review payroll transactions and reconciliations, manage statutory reporting requirements including STP and superannuation, maintain accurate payroll records, and support month-end, year-end and audit activities.
You will also contribute to payroll system enhancements, testing and process improvement initiatives.
Hands-on experience with payroll and time & attendance systems is essential, with Workday experience highly regarded. Exposure to ADP Payforce or previous involvement in payroll system upgrades, implementations or optimisation projects will be advantageous.
