What you'll do
Architect and execute autonomous behaviors for uncrewed aerial platforms.
Process sensor data to create functional sensor fusion systems.
Validate autonomy logic using hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop simulation environments.
Connect Shieldai autonomy software with third-party aircraft and hardware.
Partner with robotics, AI, and systems engineering groups to deploy functional solutions.
Establish technical standards, conduct design reviews, and maintain high code quality.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
Requirements
Tertiary degree in Robotics, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.




Extensive professional background in autonomy, robotics, aerospace systems, or perception.
Proficiency in modern C++ development.
Demonstrated history of building and shipping reliable software within high-velocity environments.
Nice to have
Background in the defense sector.
Experience with uncrewed aerial vehicles.
Technical expertise in state estimation, path planning, real-time systems, or guidance, navigation, and control.
