About the Role
This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the business. You will work closely with management and be responsible for ensuring our accounts and payroll functions are accurate, efficient, and completed on time.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly
Reconcile supplier statements
Prepare payment runs
Resolve supplier queries
Accounts Receivable
Generate customer invoices
Allocate customer payments
Follow up outstanding accounts
Maintain customer account records
Payroll
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
Manage leave entitlements and employee records
Ensure payroll complies with relevant legislation, awards, superannuation, and taxation requirements
Process payroll reporting and reconciliations
Bookkeeping & Administration
Bank reconciliations
General ledger reconciliations
BAS preparation assistance
Maintain accurate financial records
Prepare end-of-month reports
Assist with budgeting and cash flow reporting
Liaise with accountants and auditors as required
General office administration and filing
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:




Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping/accounts position
Strong experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
Experience using Xero (essential)
Excellent Microsoft Excel and Office skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
A positive, professional, and proactive attitude
Desirable
Experience in the recycling, transport, manufacturing or industrial sector
Understanding of payroll legislation and Fair Work requirements
Experience with inventory or job costing systems
