About the role:
We are now seeking a dynamic and flexible Physiotherapist to join our fantastic Specialised Rehabilitation Program Team in a part-time permanent capacity.
The Specialised Rehabilitation Program (SRP) is integral to supporting the protected and timely discharge of patients from Western Health inpatient wards and ensuring that recovery of all clients is optimised. SRP works collaboratively with the Rehab at Home program, providing backfill and support to this bed substitution program. Rehab at Home provides intensive rehabilitation to people discharged early from hospital.
The Grade 2 Neurological and Falls Physiotherapist will have a key role in providing and ensuring best-practice person centred, occupation-focused patient care and excellence in patient care primarily for patients referred with neurological impairments.
The caseload will predominantly be Neurological, falls, vestibular and some general rehabilitation clients. Treatment interventions may be delivered to individuals or groups in centre-based, home or community settings. Face to face, telehealth and telephone modalities are used by the program.
Appropriate recognised tertiary qualification and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as eligible to practice as a Physiotherapist
Clinical experience working in the community or in a hospital with Neurological, falls and chronic disease populations
Highly developed interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Experience in student supervision
Knowledge of and participation in continuous quality improvement processes
Commitment to continuing professional development
