Job Description
Virtue Enclosure Systems Pty Ltd, in Eumemmerring, VIC, are manufacturers of Sheetmetal Enclosures for the Electrical Industry and they also make custom designed switchboard cabinets. Currently, there is a full-time vacancy for an experienced and skilled Welder (First Class), who can take the responsibilities and can work independently. Main Duties & Responsibilities
Fabricate custom electrical switchboard enclosures and associated sheetmetal components from engineering drawings and production documentation.
Perform high-quality MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium to company standards.
Operate fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, drills, grinders and other workshop machinery.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing instructions.
Modify fabricated components where required while maintaining dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Dress, grind and finish welds ready for powder coating and final assembly.
Carry out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company standards.
Operate forklifts safely to move materials and finished products throughout the factory.
Assist with loading completed switchboards for transport when required.
Maintain a clean,



organised and protected work environment in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
Work independently while also collaborating with production staff to meet manufacturing schedules and customer deadlines.
Required Skills
Proven experience in MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
Strong sheetmetal fabrication skills.
Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication documentation.
Experience operating fabrication machinery and hand tools.
Ability to fabricate and modify custom-built products to a high standard with minimal supervision.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and rectify fabrication issues.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritise workloads and meet production deadlines.
Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety procedures.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent).
Minimum three years' experience in custom sheetmetal fabrication and welding.
Forklift Licence (LF).
Demonstrated experience manufacturing custom-built electrical switchboard enclosures or similar fabricated products.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary - $79,000 - $82,000 plus super Only eligible and short-listed applicants will be considered.
