The Opportunity
The Faculty of Information Technology is looking for a Research Fellow to lead AI and machine learning initiatives on complex, real-world pharmaceutical datasets provided by our industry partner, CSL Behring.
These datasets hold critical patterns, anomalies, and insights that traditional methods miss. You will develop, test, and evaluate robust, interpretable machine learning models specifically targeting anomaly detection and predictive modelling to drive real world pharmaceutical outcomes.
Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment across Monash and CSL Behring, you'll ensure your research outputs are both scientifically rigorous and practically relevant to industry needs.
This is a rare opportunity to work on industry-embedded research that translates advanced algorithms into practical biopharmaceutical applications while remaining grounded in an academic environment that values rigour and publication. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, supported by Professor Aldeida Aleti, and contribute to a project where your methods have a clear line of sight to real outcomes.
Monash offers access to world-class research infrastructure, and genuine flexibility to develop your career at the intersection of AI and health.
