As part of our long‐term growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced National Service & Parts Manager to lead the development of our aftersales operation across Australia. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a best‐in‐class national service and parts network from the ground up.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the executive management team, the National Service & Parts Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving Hangcha Australia's national aftersales strategy.
The successful candidate will establish scalable service standards, parts operations, dealer support systems and technical capabilities that deliver industry‐leading customer experience while supporting our rapidly growing dealer network across Australia.
This role requires both strategic leadership and hands‐on operational capability.
Key Responsibilities
Service Strategy & Operations
Develop and implement Hangcha Australia's national aftersales strategy.
Build a consistent nationwide service operating model.
Establish service standards, KPIs, policies and procedures.
Drive service quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the service network.
Develop warranty management processes and technical escalation procedures.
Monitor service performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Parts Business Management
Develop and optimise Australia's national spare parts strategy.
Establish inventory planning and stocking policies.
Improve parts availability while maintaining healthy inventory turnover.
Build efficient procurement and logistics processes.
Monitor parts sales performance and profitability.
Identify opportunities to expand aftermarket parts revenue.
Provide technical and operational support to dealers nationwide.
Develop dealer service capability improvement programmes.
Establish dealer audit and certification processes.
Build strong relationships with key fleet customers.
Resolve major technical and customer issues.
Support national key account service agreements.
Technical & Training
Establish technical training programmes for dealers and technicians.
Develop service manuals, technical bulletins and repair standards.
Coordinate technical support with Hangcha headquarters.
Lead new product technical introductions.
Leadership
Recruit, mentor and develop the national service and parts team.
Foster a customer‐focused and high‐performance culture.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Warehouse and Finance teams.
Prepare annual budgets and manage departmental performance.
Minimum 10 years' experience within the material handling industry.
Proven experience with companies such as Toyota Material Handling, Linde Material Handling, Crown Equipment, Hyster, Yale, Jungheinrich, Mitsubishi Logisnext or equivalent.
Strong experience managing both service operations and spare parts business.
Demonstrated success in building or improving nationwide aftersales systems.
Strong technical understanding of forklifts, warehouse equipment and material handling products.
Experience managing dealer networks.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Solid commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs.
Excellent problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Current Australian driver's licence.
Ability to travel nationally as required.
Highly Desirable
Experience working for an OEM or national distributor.
Experience establishing service operations during business expansion.
Knowledge of lithium‐ion technology and electric forklifts.
Experience with ERP systems and aftersales management software.
Trade qualification or engineering background.
Experience working with multinational organisations.
