Nestled on 30 acres in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Maleny Manor is one of Australia's premier wedding venues. Our property welcomes hundreds of couples and thousands of guests each year, so maintaining immaculate grounds and presentation is at the heart of what we do.
We're looking for a reliable, motivated Groundskeeper to join our team four days per week in a hands‐on role that offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to become a permanent team member for the right person.
About the Role
Working as part of our Grounds & Maintenance team, you'll help ensure our gardens, lawns, buildings and outdoor spaces are presented to an exceptional standard every day.
Key responsibilities include:
Lawn mowing of wedding areas, whipper snipping and edging (We engage an external contractor for the wider property mowing)
Gardening, planting, pruning and weed control
Assist with rubbish removal
Pressure washing and cleaning external areas
Setting up of weddings with outdoor furniture
Assisting with landscaping projects
Maintaining pathways, fences and outdoor furniture
Basic maintenance of buildings and facilities alongside Maintenance manager
Operating and caring for grounds equipment and machinery




Supporting the wider team with property improvement projects
Ensuring the venue is presented beautifully for weddings and events
About you:
Has previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening, landscaping, or property maintenance
Enjoys working outdoors and is physically fit for a hands‐on role
Takes genuine pride in maintaining high presentation standards and has a keen eye for detail
Is proactive and can identify jobs that need doing without being asked
Can work independently while also contributing positively to wider team
Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
Is confident operating or willing to learn to operate grounds maintenance equipment and power tools
Holds a current driver's licence (essential)
Above all, we're looking for someone who genuinely cares about the presentation of our property and takes pride in creating beautiful spaces for our couples and guests to enjoy.
This role is for Monday – Thursday (Adaptable with days) 4 days per week, 7am – 2pm roster, initially on a casual basis, with option for a permanent role for the right person.
Hourly rate from $40 per hour + super.
