The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and people focused bus driver to safely transport our aged care residents to community outings, scenic drives and appointments. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys conversation, takes pride in safe driving, and wants to make each trip a positive experience for residents.
This casual role offers consistent weekday hours from
9.00am to 2.00pm, Monday to Thursday

What you'll be doing
Safely operate the Amaroo bus in line with road rules, traffic regulations and Amaroo safety expectations.
Support residents to board and disembark safely, including assisting with wheelchairs, walkers and mobility aids where required.
Plan and navigate routes to ensure residents arrive safely, comfortably and on time.
Refuel the vehicle as required and help keep it clean, secure and ready for each outing.
Complete vehicle checks on return to the Amaroo workshop and promptly report any damage, maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Create a warm, welcoming and safe travel experience that helps residents feel comfortable and connected.

About you
You have excellent interpersonal skills and can build rapport quickly with residents, families and team members.
You hold a current and valid C Class licence, plus an HR or MR driver's licence.
You have demonstrated driving experience, a good driving history and confidence transporting community members safely.
You hold a current National Police Certificate or are willing to obtain one.
You can provide evidence of current influenza vaccination.
You are willing to complete required online training related to aged care.
You have full Australian work rights.
Most importantly, you bring a caring, patient and respectful approach to supporting older people.
